1921 Music Group Takes Austin: SXSW 2026 Recap (March 12–15)
This past weekend, 1921 Music Group touched down in Austin, Texas for SXSW 2026, marking our fourth time being part of one of the biggest music stages in the world.
Every year, SXSW means something different for us. Sometimes we’re behind the scenes booking artists, coordinating moves, and building relationships. Other times, we’re front and center with our own talent hitting stages and making noise.
This year—it was both.
Back in the Field — 4 Years Strong
For me personally, this trip was another reminder of how far we’ve come.
“This our 4th time in Austin for SXSW. Every time we come out here, it’s about growth. Either we putting artists in position or we got our own artists showing the world what 1921 is about. This year was another step forward.” – Dom Williams

From the early days of just pulling up and networking, to now moving with intention, strategy, and a real brand presence—1921 Music Group continues to level up every time we hit the road.
A Weekend of Work, Not Just Vibes
SXSW isn’t just about parties. It’s about positioning, exposure, and execution.
Throughout the weekend, the 1921 team:
Connected with industry DJs, producers, and media outlets
Built relationships with upcoming artists and key mentors
Showcased talent across multiple stages and events
Expanded our network for future bookings, collaborations, and opportunities
This wasn’t just a trip—it was a business move.
1921 Presence Was Felt
From daytime showcases to late-night events, 1921 Music Group made sure our presence was known.
We weren’t just in the building, we were active, visible, and working.
Artists connected. Opportunities opened. Doors got closer to unlocking.
And most importantly, the brand continued to grow.
More Than Music — It’s a Movement
1921 Music Group isn’t just about dropping songs its about building careers, creating opportunities, and developing a system that lasts.
Trips like SXSW are proof that:
Consistency matters
Relationships matter
Showing up matters
And when you combine all three, you start to separate yourself.
What’s Next for 1921?
We’re not slowing down.
SXSW 2026 was another successful run, but it’s just part of a bigger plan. With new music, new artists, and new opportunities on the horizon, 1921 Music Group is focused on building something that stands long-term.
“We 3-0 on the road right now. And we just getting started.” – Dom Williams
